Privacy Policy for Clearance
Clearance is a local-first release and consent form app. Clearance does not require user accounts.
Information handled by the app
Clearance may store information you enter or create in the app, including:
- signer name
- optional email address
- consent checkbox selections
- signature image(s)
- optional headshot image, if you enable headshot capture
- generated PDF records and ZIP exports you create
How your data is used
This information is used only to create, store, preview, export, and share release records on your device.
Storage and sharing
Records are stored locally in app-managed storage on your device. Clearance does not upload your records to our servers by default. Files leave the app only when you explicitly use iOS sharing or export actions, such as sharing a PDF or exporting a ZIP archive.
Permissions
If you enable optional headshot capture, Clearance may request access to the camera or photos, depending on how that feature is implemented. This access is used only to attach the selected image to the record you are creating.
Data retention and deletion
Your records remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete saved records at any time from the app's library. Deleting the app may also remove app-stored local data from the device, subject to iOS behavior and backups.
Tracking and third parties
Clearance does not use accounts or cloud syncing by default. Clearance does not sell your data. If this version of the app does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs, no data is shared with third parties except when you explicitly choose to share or export a file.
